You couldn’t miss him, our photographer was just everywhere. And thanks to him, you’ll now be able to flip through the album whenever you want and recall all the beautiful moments. Check our Photo Gallery.
All competitors reached the finish line in good health, and we paid tribute to the best at the prize giving ceremony. Tereza Odehnalová and Baptiste Rollier won in the elite classes. But for us, everyone who successfully completed demanding stages at Drábovna and Pantheon are the winners. We really hope you enjoyed all the weekend. The best reward for organizers was to experience the chirping of people in the event center. Thank you for your participation, and we’ll be looking forward to the 30th Nice Holiday in a year!
We have published Bulletin 2 with technical details related to Nice Holidays 2020. Feel free to download it in the PDF version, if you like it more. We have also updated our Photo Gallery with and Map samples. Check it out if you didn’t see it all at FB yet.
Matěj Klusáček prepared for you a new map of Drábovna for Nice Holidays 2020 that follows orienteering map symbols used in ISOM2017-2. Below you can see an interesting comparison of how the rocks at Drábovna changed. Or rather how the mapping concept changes through the time.
Courses are ready. Pre-marked in the forest and we are ready to publish course details. Courses of all stages seem quite short. But it’s not true at all. Steep slopes, detailed rocks, tough running. Winning times in all three stages will be probably longer than usual for sprint and middle distance. For both middle distances we expect winning times 45 minutes and more in most junior, elite and master classes. But we believe this terrain is worth spending some extra time!
With the gradual opening of borders, foreign competitors also have a chance to take part in Nice Holidays 2020. Check what this year’s edition brings you in Bulletin 1.
As situation in the Czech Republic is slowly getting back to normal state, organizing committee decided to organize the event. Event will be open for maximum of 1300 competitors. Starting times will be spread into longer time which will split the runners in forest and in the event centre. This is also the reason why we decided to move first start of first stage to 12:00 am on Friday.
From June 15th 2020 EU citizens from many EU countries can enter the Czech Republic without need of PCR test or quarantine. So we will of course open the event also for foreigners. Now we are working hard on english version of Bulletin 1. Entries will be opened on June 16th, at 6:30 am.
Unfortunately from obvious reasons we cannot organize provisional camp for competitors and accompanying events which gather crowds at one place like party or traditional best “Puncher” show. Malá Skála and whole Bohemian Paradise area offer lot of accommodation possibilities (official camp in Malá Skála, hotels, pensions). We believe you will find a good place to stay anyway.
From June 15th 2020 foreigners coming to the Czech Republic from “green” countries can enter CZ without need of negative Covid19-test. From orange and red countries negative test is needed. Note that this will probably change until the event, hopefully in a positive way, please always follow actual situation and restrictions.
